Timeless Designs was created to share an idea and an appreciation of classic, feminine style in a wearable and down to earth way.
The person behind this little company is me, Aurora. I live in a small red house in the Swedish countryside, surrounded by forrests and fields.
Since childhood I have had a huge fascination with history, the way people lived and, maybe most importantly, the way they dressed. This has been a driving force in my life in many ways, leading me to dive deep into the world of historical fashion, traveling the world to attend historical events and eventually to a degree in historical garments and costumes for the stage from Tillskärarakademin in Gothenburg, one of Sweden’s leading tailoring schools.
Appart from history and sewing much of my time and energy go to my other many interests, be they singing in numerous choirs or groups, digging in the garden and growing way too many tomatoes …………………………..
Every item of clothing from Timeless Designs is lovingly created by me. With inspiration taken from mainly the iconic sillouettes the 1950’s these dresses can be worn as a vintage style garment, but the classic lines and timeless fabric choices also means that they perfectly lend themselves to a modern wardrobe. I hope that you who buy any of these will find your way of wearing it, making the lines of history and present blend together, in some ever so small way.
